Driving community support for a Stronger PBS

The Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) is an essential lifeline for millions of Australians, subsidising the cost of life-saving and extending medicines. But the process for Government funding of new medicines on the PBS is notoriously slow, with wait times averaging a shocking 466 days. A delay which renders Australia 16th out of comparable countries when it comes to publicly-reimbursed access to medicines.

‘The Biggest Waiting Room’ was the campaign launched to rally this – a concept easily understood. That being Australia via the PBS is literally the world’s biggest waiting room.

We showed up across media platforms – earned and paid – and across high impact, and politically influential locations, including inner Sydney and Canberra Airport, driving more than 1K signs ups to our campaign and many millions of earned and paid impressions.
