Sydney, August 3, 2016: Ogilvy Public Relations Australia has appointed former PayPal communications executive, Adrian Christie, as a Director. In this new role, he will oversee the consultancy’s social, content and digital practice – Social@Ogilvy, and will lead the Microsoft account as the Key Client Relationship Manager (KCRM).
Christie’s remit includes responsibility for building Social@Ogilvy‘s capabilities in social and digital, driving strategic social media planning and execution, and developing best-in-class content production and publishing capabilities. As KCRM, Christie is responsible for overseeing all Microsoft strategy and campaigns and ensuring key business deliverables are met.
Kieran Moore, CEO Ogilvy PR, said that impactful communications is all about taking a holistic view of a brand’s profile and crafting multichannel campaigns designed to positively influence a client’s customer and stakeholder base. This encompasses search, social, digital and marketing to create content people want to spend time with, use and share.

With more than half of his career spent in-house, Christie brings deep international and local consumer technology, fintech, mobile and enterprise services experience to the role.
Most recently Christie was with PayPal as Director of Communications, where he managed corporate communications, brand engagement, social media and media relations for the business. Prior to PayPal he spent time at Porter Novelli New York as a Senior Vice President and five years at Sony PlayStation as Head of Communications.
