26 September 2008
Ogilvy Public Relation's consumer agency Pulse Communications was amongst the biggest winners at last night's Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) NSW state awards.
The industry body awarded prizes across 17 categories to the state's best performers for excellence, best practice and professionalism in public relations communication.
Categories included public affairs, emergency crisis communications, environment and internal communications.
Pulse won the Corporate Social Responsibility award for BlueScope Steel’s Tank a Day challenge and the Environmental award for launching Cascade Green – 100% carbon offset beer. In addition, Pulse was highly commended in the Consumer Marketing category for PR positions Panadol Rapid Handipak as the must have Accessory for every Girl’s Handbag.
Andrew Collett, NSW president of PRIA said a record number of entries were received this year and that the standard of entry was exceptionally high.
"The calibre of the winners themselves further demonstrated the excellent quality of our industry in New South Wales," he said.
The NSW winners will go on to compete in the national Golden Target Awards to be presented at the PRIA national conference in Fremantle, Western Australia on October 13.
