Leading Technology agency, Howorth, is looking for a dynamic Senior Consultant or Account Manager who will contribute to client planning and oversee execution on a range of major brands in the technology sector.
The role is varied and requires a switched on PR practitioner who can take responsibility for the accounts they manage, providing excellent client service and demonstrating high-level professional knowledge and skills, to get results that make a difference.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and managing PR projects/programmes including formulation, implementation, evaluation, budgets and timelines.
- Providing leadership in growing existing accounts by offering creative ideas and recommendations for new/expanded programmes.
- Managing team members to maximise productivity and individual, team and financial performance.
- Routinely contribute to the company’s performance and growth.
- Providing support and updates to senior management on all accounts regularly.
- Providing immediate/timely advice and consultation to clients.
To be successful with your application for this role YOU MUST:
- Have a passion for knowledge and the ability to take the news agenda and make it applicable to your client’s business – the ability to find issues to highjack and feed creative thinking process.
- Have strong knowledge and understanding of the local and international media and industry influencers in your practice area and established relationships with senior journalists.
- Know the media – broadcast, online, print; communications counsel to client PR teams, spokespeople and internal stakeholders.
- Be a skilled editor capable of directing the written materials of others.
- Have 3-4 or more years of relevant technology PR experience.
- Demonstrate that you are proficient in conceptualising media relations campaigns.
- Have knowledge of social media practices; although full training and support provided by our central social media capability.
- Have a relevant degree or tertiary education.
- Previous PR agency experience in a tech area will be highly regarded.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced environment and happy to share an opinion – we want people to contribute to the business not work in the business.
