Senior Researcher – Sydney

Ogilvy Illumination – Ogilvy PR’s research arm – is looking for a Senior Researcher to join our team.

  • At least 3 years experience – preferably more but enthusiastic and talented trumps experience in our book;
  • Able to run projects on their own and confident in a client-facing role – someone who can take a brief and run with it without too much hand-holding but with the occasional project control meeting and guidance from research director;
  • Both qualitative and quantitative skilled with better developed quantitative – comfortable with a little bit of regression analysis if required for example; and above all
  • Creative thinker who understands that how you apply the research is just as important as the research itself.

You will probably have come from one of the big research houses and be looking for more diversity, autonomy and responsibility in your work. Your interests will however be broader than that and you will be genuinely interested and engaged in the debates occurring around the country and the role public opinion has to play in these.

We pride ourselves on providing research solutions to clients that genuinely meet their needs rather than generic off the shelf one-size-fits-all products.

Working with us you will get to work on and lead a truly diverse and interesting mix of ad-hoc projects with some big name clients on some of the biggest issues facing the country. We work for the federal government, state governments, some of the biggest players in the financial services sector, a solid portfolio of blue chip clients and some respected not-for-profits as well.

The total salary package is between $70-$80k based on capability, the position is Sydney-based and will start at the end of June.
