Ogilvy PR was created in Australia in 2001. Our founders sought out the best boutique agencies across the country and brought them together: Howorth for business-to-business and technology specialists; Parker & Partners for public affairs and corporate communication; Impact for employee engagement.
The depth of specialist capabilities within Ogilvy PR is unmatched in the Australian PR industry. Each of our brands is narrow in its focus and deep in its specialisation.
Where we didn’t believe there was a market leader, we created new brands from the ground up – Pulse for consumer and brand marketing; Ogilvy PR Health for healthcare and health-related lifestyle and, most recently in 2009, we created Social@Ogilvy, Australia’s first and now largest, dedicated social media agency.
Today, more often than not we come together as Ogilvy PR – where a team is needed that can handle more than just one specialist area, for example when a brief demands corporate PR, employee engagement and resonance with their customers.
Ogilvy PR is the parent brand for six PR agencies that cross disciplines and sectors.
When clients have a brief that requires just one discipline they will work with that agency brand (e.g. Pulse for Consumer PR, Howorth for B2B) – but where an integrated team is needed that might require different disciplines we will build a team from across the brands and come together as Ogilvy PR. It’s that simple.
